Pulmonary Blastomycosis Masquerading as Malignancy in India; Case From a Tertiary Hospital in South India

Introduction: Blastomycosis is an endemic granulomatous fungal infection involving multiple organ systems predominantly the lungs. The diverse clinical spectra of pulmonary disease encompass a subclinical infection, acute mimicking bacterial pneumonia and chronic variant masquerading as tuberculosis or malignancy. Case Presentation: Here we report case middle-aged gentleman who was evaluated for malignant mass which later identified blastomycosis. diagnosis blastomycosis made through histopathology retrospectively corelated with travel history to region. Conclusion: endemicity this contributes diagnostic dilemma in non-endemic setup. This warrants high suspicion patients syndrome area.
